(AP) - In a Sept. 30 story about a pedestrian struck by a police officer, The Associated Press erroneously reported the victim as Lindsay Richard, who is actually the spokeswoman for the Ocean City Police Department. The name of the victim, a 26-year-old man from Connecticut, was not released. The source of the story was incorrectly listed as the Wilmington News-Journal. The source was the Salisbury Daily Times.

A pedestrian was injured after he was struck by an Ocean City police officer.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the victim was a 26-year-old man from Connecticut, according to Lindsay Richard, spokeswoman for the Ocean City Police Department. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries after the accident at about 9 p.m. on Friday.
Police say the officer was not engaging in a pursuit at the time of the accident, and was driving a marked Chevrolet Tahoe.
The officer wasn’t identified, and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
