ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - Vermont officials will review the top three candidates interviewing for the open St. Johnsbury police chief position this week.
The Caledonian-Record reports (https://bit.ly/2fSDmbE ) officials have not identified the finalists. However, they have provided details about each candidate’s work history.
The candidates include a retired Vermont state trooper, a lieutenant from a Connecticut police department and a former Massachusetts police officer who now works as a member of a sheriff’s department in Vermont. There are no internal candidates.
St. Johnsbury looks to replace former Chief Clem Houde, who was accused of exchanging inappropriate text messages with a female subordinate. He later resigned.
A search committee made up of local and state officials is interviewing the candidates.
