• The 10 Bcm/yr Trans Adriatic Pipeline line is planned to bring natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe through a link from Turkey, pass through Greece and Albania, and end in Italy.

• The $5 billion Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) natural gas project has reached its halfway mark after nearly 16 months since construction began.

• It is the last stretch of the larger $45 billion Southern Gas Corridor project, which will transport 16 Bcm/yr of Azeri gas, of which 6 Bcm/yr will go to Turkey through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline project.

• TAP is owned 20% by BP, 20% by Azerbaijan’s Socar, 20% by Norway’s Statoil, 19% by Belgium’s Fluxys, 16% by Spain’s Enagas, and 5% by Switzerland’s Axpo.
