After a week of trolling between President Trump and professional sports teams starting with the Golden State Warriors — House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi got involved Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Pelosi’s official Twitter account reminded the NBA champion Warriors, whom Mr. Trump had disinvited Saturday from the customary White House celebration, that they could still visit Washington — as her guest.

“The offer still stands. #DubNation,” Mrs. Pelosi wrote in a Tweet that tagged the Warriors official account and MVP guard Stephen Curry.

Attached to the tweet was a June 20 letter in which Mrs. Pelosi and Rep. Barbara Lee, California Democrat, say they would be “delighted to welcome you publicly as a team or personally as families to the United States Capitol.”

The letter was written months before the Trump-Warriors contretemps erupted and escalated into a war of words with the NFL, and Mrs. Pelosi’s Tuesday night reminder did not mention the Trump feud explicitly.

Mrs. Pelosi represents San Francisco and Ms. Lee’s district is in Oakland and other parts of Alameda County, where the Warriors play.
