PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - The federal Small Business Administration is giving the Maine International Trade Center nearly $200,000 to help grow exports from Maine’s small businesses.
SBA District Director for Maine Amy Bassett says the Portland trade center will use the grant to help companies find new ways to market their products around the world. She says more exports will help Maine companies increase sales and create jobs.
The SBA says Maine businesses will be able to receive up to $10,500 in reimbursements for costs associated with expansion of exports. The money is from the SBA’s State Trade Expansion Program, which is competitive.
