PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say two women were wounded by gunfire within an hour in Philadelphia, one as she was sitting on her porch and another in a roadside robbery after car trouble.

A police spokesman said a 30-year-old woman sitting on the porch of her northwest Philadelphia home was grazed on her left torso by a gunshot shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday. She was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday in northeast Philadelphia, a 29-year-old woman was examining her vehicle after pulling over when a man shoved an object in her back and demanded property. She heard a gunshot and found she had been wounded in the left calf. She drove to Temple University Hospital, where she was treated and released.
