CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Republican Gov. Chris Sununu has signed an executive order setting up a Millennial Advisory Council, to offer insight and policy recommendations from people born between 1980 and 2000.

The order, issued Thursday, says attracting and retaining young workers is a critical component of the state’s economic and social future. It says young New Hampshire workers face a variety of challenges, including affordable housing, student loan debt, and health care, and are underrepresented in the state Legislature.

Sununu said input from young workers is needed.

The council would meet at least once a month and issue an annual report.
