PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Los Angeles third baseman Justin Turner left Thursday’s game at Philadelphia after being hit by a pitch in the right hand in the first inning.

Team officials announced that Turner had a bruised right thumb.

Turner was hit with a 91-mph fastball by Phillies starter Mark Leiter Jr. on the second pitch of his at-bat. Trainers looked at his fingers, but Turner stayed to run the bases and played one inning in the field. He was pulled by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts before the bottom of the second inning.

Austin Barnes took Turner’s spot in lineup and several players moved around to different positions.

Turner entered play Thursday batting .321 with 21 homers and 70 RBIs.
