DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have arrested a central Iowa man in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a Des Moines motorcyclist last year.

The Des Moines Register reports that 67-year-old Jack Jay Janda of Woodward faces charges of vehicular homicide by reckless driving, vehicular homicide by operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Janda was jailed in Polk County on Tuesday.

Janda is accused of causing an Oct. 29, 2016, crash that killed 57-year-old Joseph Anthony Davis, of Des Moines.

Davis died when his motorcycle collided with a minivan in rural Polk County.

Online court records did not list an attorney for Janda.
