MILWAUKEE (AP) - Milwaukee County’s district attorney has cleared two West Allis police officers and a federal drug agent in the shooting death of a Milwaukee man last March.

DA John Chisholm concluded the officers were justified in using deadly force when 32-year-old Jermaine Claybrooks was shot on Milwaukee’s north side.

Claybrooks was shot March 16 during an encounter with West Allis and Milwaukee police and officers with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as authorities investigated Claybrooks for possible drug dealing.

Clayboorks was sitting in a car and was shot after police saw him point a gun at a Milwaukee police officer. A photo taken after officers got into the car shows Claybrooks holding a semi-automatic pistol in his right hand, with his finger on the trigger.

The Milwaukee County Investigative Team investigated.
