Former Maryland standout point guard Melo Trimble signed a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team announced Monday.
Trimble, who spent three years at Maryland, went undrafted in this year’s draft. During his junior season at Maryland, Trimble was named to the Big Ten’s first-team and averaged 16.8 points per game.
The terms of Trimble’s contract were not disclosed.
Trimble played with the Philadelphia 76ers in Summer League, averaging 10.3 points in three games.
The Timberwolves have Jeff Teague and Tyus Jones as their top two point guards on the roster.
