ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a fire that damaged three downtown businesses in an Indianapolis suburb also caused heat-related injuries to a firefighter.

The fire was reported about 4 a.m. Monday in downtown Zionsville after smoke was reported in an apartment above one of the businesses. Zionsville deputy fire chief Brian Miller says smoke was found in a restaurant and two other businesses that shared the building.

Miller says the firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment and was expected to fully recover.

Miller says investigators would be working to determine what caused the fire. An estimate of the damage to the three businesses and three apartments in the city just northwest of Indianapolis.
