LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to up to 46 years in prison for sexually abusing two girls.

Lancaster County prosecutors announced 82-year-old Joseph Madonna Jr. has been sentenced to 14 to 46 years. Madonna had previously been found guilty in June on 13 felony charges including child rape.

Prosecutors say Madonna sexually abused the girls over an eight-year period, starting in 2007. Prosecutors say the girls were preteens when the abuse started. Investigators say Madonna abused the girls at his Millersville home.

Prosecutors say Madonna was an acquaintance of the girls’ families.
