The Jacoby Brissett era is happening.

The Indianapolis Colts will start Brissett at quarterback against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, benching Scott Tolzien after just one game, according to the NFL Network.

The Colts traded wide receiver Philip Dorsett, a former first-round pick, to the New England Patriots for Brissett in August. The Colts have struggled without usual starter Andrew Luck, who is recovering from shoulder surgery and has no timetable for his return.

Brissett started two games for the Patriots last season as a rookie. He threw for 400 yards in three games and completed 61.8 percent of his passes.

Brissett also appeared in the Colts’ loss to the Rams last week, going 2-for-3 for 51 yards.
