KENT, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a 20-year-old woman has been arrested in Colorado in connection with the hit-and-run death of a man in Washington state.

The news website SeattlePI reports the 29-year-old D’maine Dugar was killed early Saturday while walking to work at a Safeway grocery store. Kent police found him when they responded to an unrelated car accident that morning.

Investigators found the car believed to have struck Dugar abandoned nearby. Witnesses associated with that vehicle told police the suspect might have been headed out of state in another car.

Police in Glendale, Colorado, said they found the 20-year-old driver and took her into custody on an unrelated crime. Kent police say they expect her to be extradited to face charges for Dugar’s death.
