DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) - A two-vehicle crash in South Carolina has left one child dead.

News outlets report that Corporal Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says a Honda whose driver disregarded a stop sign was hit by a Jeep on Saturday afternoon. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee says an unrestrained child in the Honda was killed.

The driver of the Honda and an adult passenger were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Jeep was assessed on scene and taken to the hospital as well. The extent of the adults’ injuries is unclear.

No names have been released.

Collins says the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
