JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. (AP) - California officials have identified two of the three people killed in a weekend fatal car crash on a Southern California freeway as Hemet residents.

The Press-Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/2wStUPm ) the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau identified two of the crash victims as 27-year-old Jose Perez and 24-year-old Omar Arambula, both of Hemet. Officials have yet to release the name, age or hometown of the third victim.

The three were killed in a collision early Saturday. According to California Highway Patrol, a 1995 Honda Accord with three people inside smashed into the center divider and became disabled, triggering a multi-car collision. Authorities are still investigating what caused the Honda to crash into the center divider.

California Highway Patrol says a separate driver suffered minor injuries to both arms.
