SKOWHEGAN, Maine (AP) - Beer enthusiasts are flocking to the Maine city of Skowhegan for a craft beer festival this weekend.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2wnJmlx ) the second annual Skowhegan Craft Brew Festival will kick off at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Main Street Skowhegan, a nonprofit group, is sponsoring the event.

Main Street executive director Kristina Cannon says over 1,000 people are expected to visit downtown Skowhegan for the brew festival. Cannon says the festival focuses on promoting local brewers who make hard cider, wine and spirits in addition to beer.

A farmers market will also be a part of Saturday’s festivities. Cannon says the festival helps showcase local food. Offerings include Filipino food, poutine and wood-fired pizza.

General admission tickets are available online for $40 and at the entrance for $45.
