LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - In a story Oct. 7 based off reporting by the Lincoln Journal Star, The Associated Press reported that using coal fly ash to create concrete had caused cracks to form in some Lincoln streets. When fly ash is used properly, it can extend the life of concrete, but the recipe used in Lincoln in the 1980s and 1990s was incorrect and created the need for repairs.
