EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A woman who stabbed a man she met on Craigslist and told police she intended to become a serial killer was sentenced to 18 years in jail.

KOMO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2y2c2BP ) Amy Brown received her prison sentence Tuesday.

Brown and the man she met through Craigslist went to a Lynnwood motel where she stabbed him in the chest. The man managed to escape and survived the attack.

Police found Brown with a note that she had planned to leave on the man’s dead body, where she wrote that she would kill again.

Brown told police she had planned to eat the man’s heart after killing him.

Brown’s lawyers had sought leniency because they say Brown had stopped taking her medication before the attack.
