DOVER, Del. (AP) - A custodian at a Delaware school for students with special needs has been charged sending sexually related text messages to a teenage girl.

State police say 35-year-old Dale S. Street of Dover was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual solicitation of a child. He was released on $20,000 bond. It was not immediately known whether Street has a lawyer.

Police began investigation Friday after a 17-year-old Caesar Rodney High School student told a school employee about a man sending her text messages that were sexual in nature.

Police say Street began texting the student last Tuesday and once met her in the parking lot of the John S. Charlton School, where he is employed.

Officials with the Caesar Rodney School District said Street has been suspended with pay.
