NAVAJO DAM, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say the drivers of two vehicles are dead after a head-on collision in northwestern New Mexico.
New Mexico State Police say the double-fatal accident occurred about 6 p.m. Monday on State Road 173 west of Navajo Dam.
They say a pickup truck being driven by 63-year-old Mary Jane Louton of Navajo Dam collided with a car driven by 70-year-old Peter Christensen of Farmington.
State Police say it appears Louton’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with Christensen’s car.
They say Louton and Christensen sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
According to State Police, the case remains under investigation.
