SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Outgoing Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner says she will teach at New York University in the spring.
Miner will become a visiting distinguished urbanist at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.
The Democrat is term-limited out of office at the end of this year and has been mentioned as a potential primary challenger to Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2018.
She announced last week that she would not challenge U.S. Rep. John Katko for his Syracuse-area congressional seat next year.
The two-term mayor was first elected in 2009.
