BOSTON (AP) - Julian Edelman may be out of the New England Patriots lineup with a season-ending knee injury, but fans can still get their fill of the star receiver when his new book goes on sale.
His memoir, “Relentless ,” co-written by Boston sportswriter Tom Curran, is available starting Tuesday.
The book chronicles Edelman’s life from Pop Warner in California, through high school, his career as a quarterback at Kent State and his time with the Patriots culminating in his miracle diving catch of a tipped ball that kept the Patriots slim hopes alive in Super Bowl 51.
It also mentions the relationship with his father, who according to the book’s publisher “took extreme and unorthodox measures to drive Edelman to quiet the doubters with ferocious competitiveness.”
Edelman has previously published a children’s book.
