AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap is calling for President Donald Trump’s voter fraud commission to provide him with information about its activities that he says is overdue.
Dunlap, a Democrat, is a member of the commission. Dunlap says in a letter to the executive director of the commission that he’s “sworn to serve” on the panel but is “completely uninformed as to its activities.”
The Portland Press Herald reports Dunlap sent the letter on Tuesday. Dunlap says in the letter that he has “received utterly no information or updates from commission staff” about ongoing research or future meetings.
Dunlap has been critical of the commission’s activities in the past as well. It was established by Trump to probe his claims of voter fraud in the 2016 election.
