SISTER BAY, Wis. (AP) - One woman died and another survived after their car landed in the water at the Sister Bay Marina.

Door County sheriff’s deputies say they got a call about 10 p.m. Saturday about a vehicle that was in the water near the boat launch. Deputies arrived and found a Hyundai submerged in the water. They helped one woman out of the water, who told them another woman was still in the vehicle. Paramedics twice dove into the water to find her, but were hampered by the water temperature.

A Door County dive team member arrived and located the second woman. Both were rushed to the Door County Medical Center. The second female, a 24-year-old Sobieski woman, was pronounced dead. The other victim, a 24-year-old De Pere woman, was treated for injuries.
