HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy is planning to host a conference looking at ways to strengthen economic ties between the United States and Europe.
Monday’s conference will include government officials, policy experts and Connecticut businesses discussing opportunities for bolstering transatlantic economic relationships.
The gathering will feature two panel discussions and a talk by former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland.
Nuland will talk about current geopolitical factors at play in Europe and their impact on economic and diplomatic relationships with the United States.
The conference is scheduled for Monday at Yale University’s West Campus Conference Center in Orange.
Murphy is the ranking Democrat on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation.
