COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - One student was shot and another assaulted one block from a University of Maryland campus in College Park.
Prince George’s County police say the violence occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday on the 7500 block of Rhode Island Avenue, in an area that is mostly off-campus housing for college students.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. They are both University of Maryland students.
