CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) - Police say a 34-year-old woman has died after the motorcycle she was riding on collided with a car in Carlsbad.

Carlsbad police say a 30-year-old man from San Marcos was driving the woman on Rancho Santa Fe Road on Friday at about 6:30 p.m. when the Harley Davidson Motorcycle collided with the rear of a sedan. The woman was thrown from the motorcycle.

Authorities say fire officials gave the woman from San Marcos advanced life support before transporting her and the driver to a local hospital.

Police have not released information on the condition of the driver, or the names of the people involved in the collision.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
