TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A Florida man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for a drive-by shooting that left a woman dead outside a Tampa nightclub.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that 21-year-old Dougie Glidden was sentenced Friday. He was convicted in August of second-degree murder.
Authorities say Glidden got into an argument with security guards at Club 301 in August 2014 after they refused to let him re-enter. When the club was closing around 3 a.m., Glidden rode past in an SUV and fired into the crowd. One shot hit 49-year-old Mirabel Sanchez-Garcia, who died at the scene.
