WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) - Police in Windsor Locks are searching for a man who stole a car from a gas station, then dragged its owner when she tried to stop him.
The woman had stopped at a Shell station around 10:30 a.m. Monday and left her Nissan Altima running when she went inside.
Police say the 34-year-old woman then looked outside and saw a man get into her car and close the door. They say she ran out and grabbed onto the driver’s side door to try to stop him, but he accelerated and dragged her about 15 feet before she let go.
The woman did not have serious injuries.
Surveillance video from the gas station shows that the suspect was dropped off at the gas station shortly before he stole the car.
