WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A teenager and a 48-year-old man have been shot in Delaware.
The News Journal of Wilmington reports Wilmington police found a 16-year-old boy shot in his right shoulder and a 48-year-old man shot in his thigh on Monday around 6 p.m. Both were treated and transported to local hospitals in what police describe as stable conditions.
Police Chief Robert Tracy says no firearms were discovered at the scene. Tracy said the Wilmington Fire Department was at a nearby house fire and emergency personnel were thus able to quickly respond and render first aid.
Detectives are reviewing video from the area in Wilmington’s Lower Brandywine Village neighborhood and seeking witnesses. No suspect description is available.
