Donald Trump’s approval rating drops to 36% as Russia case moves ahead: CNN poll

A new CNN poll shows President Trump at another all-time low as the Russia case continues to be a problem for his presidency.

The survey shows 36 percent approve of Mr. Trump’s performance as president — the lowest approval rating of any CNN poll — while 58 percent disapprove of his performance. The numbers of those concerned about Russia also keeps increasing with 47 percent saying they are “very concerned” about the continued news, an increase from just 27 percent in July.

But 44 percent say they believe that last week’s charges against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his longtime business associate Richard Gates was a coordinated effort limited to a small number inside the campaign.

The CNN poll was conducted by SSRS via telephone from Nov. 2-5 among 1,021 adults with a plus or minus 3.6 percent margin of error.
