CANTONMENT, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Florida man’s vehicle collided with a CSX train, leaving him with minor injuries.

The Pensacola News Journal reports 79-year-old Herbert Turner was driving a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder eastbound as the train was traveling south on the tracks Monday in Cantonment.

Authorities say Turner started to drive eastbound across the tracks and into the direct path of the train, causing the front of the train to strike his vehicle’s left side. A news release from the Florida Highway Patrol says he was taken to a hospital after the crash.

Authorities say charges are pending in the case. Further details have not been released.
