Iowa man suspected of killing his girlfriend’s father

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A 26-year-old Iowa man is suspected of killing his girlfriend’s father.

The Des Moines Register reports the suspect was arrested early Sunday after having a fight with 46-year-old Timothy Neal.

Neal died at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after the confrontation with the 26-year-old who lives in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.

Police didn’t immediately say what prompted the fight or what the nature of Neal’s injuries were.

The suspect was being held without bond Sunday at the Polk County Jail.
