In a recent interview, rap artist Eminem complained that Donald Trump was ignoring his outspoken denunciations of the sitting president, saying the silence has left him “extremely angry.”

The rapper made his remarks in an interview on Shade45, the SiriusXM channel he produces, BET.com reported Tuesday.

“I was and still am extremely angry,” he said in the interview, according to BET. “I can’t stand that motherf——r. I feel like he’s not paying attention to me. I was kind of waiting for him to say something and for some reason, he didn’t say anything.”

A 45-year-old who came of age in Michigan — a state which broke its longstanding Democratic streak by narrowly falling into Mr. Trump’s win column in 2016 — Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, famously took aim in October not only at Mr. Trump but at a significant portion of his fans who may well have voted for the president.

“If you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you should stand beside, I’ll do it for you with this: F—- you!” he said in a video released at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

With the exception of NFL players kneeling during or sitting out the national anthem, Mr. Trump has mostly ignored celebrity critics, although he did respond via Twitter in March to a music video by Snoop Dogg in which the rapper is depicted shooting a toy gun at a clown dressed like Mr. Trump.

“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!” Mr. Trump tweeted.
