FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Khalil Ahmad scored 25 points and Kyle Allman chipped in 13 points and Cal State Fullerton beat Sacramento State 68-63 Friday on the second day of the Wooden Legacy.

Arkim Robertson sank a pair of free throws, Ahmad sank three after getting fouled on a 3-point attempt and Allman’s dunk with 6:44 left put Cal State Fullerton (2-3) ahead 57-48.

But Justin Strings went on his own 8-0 run with a free throw after Allman was called for a technical, hit a couple of jumpers and 3 to reduce the deficit to one but the Hornets made just two more field goals down the stretch. The Titans sealed it from the free throw line and were 20 for 23 for the game.

Strings led Sacramento State (1-5) with 22 points, Jordan Tolbert had 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and Izayah Mauriohoohoo-Le’Afa grabbed 12 rebounds.
