Line: LSU by 10½
Series record: LSU leads 32-20-3
WHAT’S AT STAKE?
The Aggies can head into bowl season on a three-game winning streak - and with a winning record in the SEC. LSU seeks six SEC wins in a season for the first time since 2012 and can keep alive hopes for its first 10-win campaign since 2013 in head coach Ed Orgeron’s first full year on the job.
KEY MATCHUP
Texas A&M WR Christian Kirk against an LSU secondary that includes redshirt freshman CB Andraez Williams. Kirk is one of A&M’s all-time leading receivers, needing just 12 yards receiving to move into fourth in school history. Williams has four of LSU’s eight interceptions this season and the Tigers have allowed only 181.5 yards passing per game.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
TEXAS A&M: DE Landis Durham leads the Aggies with 8½ sacks this season.
LSU: RB Derrius Guice has eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing for a second straight season. Last season, Guice set an LSU single-game record with 285 yards rushing at Texas A&M.
FACTS & FIGURES
LSU has won six straight in the series, beginning with a Cotton Bowl victory at the end of the 2010 season, and continuing with all five regular season meetings since A&M joined the SEC in 2012. … The Aggies will be seeking their fourth straight win away from Kyle Field since falling to UCLA in the season-opener. … The Aggies haven’t won in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, since 1994, when RB Leeland McElroy’s 59-yard TD run lifted No. 15 Texas A&M to a 18-13 victory. … LSU has allowed only two touchdowns in the fourth quarters of its seven SEC games this season. … LSU RB Darrel Williams needs 30 yards rushing to reach 700, which would mark only the third time in school history that LSU had both a 1,000-yard rusher (Guice) and a 700-yard rusher in the same season.
