A judge granted former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates a “limited release” for the Thanksgiving holiday, ABC News reported.
Mr. Manafort and Mr. Gates have been confined to their homes after being charged with conspiracy and tax fraud last month.
The two are required to tell authorities where they will be and to wear tracking devices. They are also prohibited from consuming alcohol.
Both men were charged as a result of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into collusion claims between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. The charges are not related to work either Mr. Manafort or Mr. Gates did for the campaign.
Mr. Manafort served as campaign chairman for President Trump’s campaign last summer.
