MACON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in central Georgia are investigating several shootings that left three people dead and wounded two others on Halloween.

Bibb County sheriff’s Capt. Shermaine Jones described the four shootings as separate incidents that made for a “chaotic night” Wednesday in Macon.

The Telegraph reported one victim was a 30-year-old transgender woman who had been missing since Sunday. Another was a 38-year-old man killed by gunfire just after 9 p.m. when a fight broke out at a party in which another person was wounded. The third slaying victim, another 38-year-old man, was killed during an argument at a home.

A 22-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot multiple times outside an apartment building.

Jones said the Halloween shootings don’t appear to be linked.
