LOUDON, N.H. (AP) - A planning board has approved a three-day country music festival for next summer at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The Concord Monitor reports the board in Loudon granted permission just for a one-time concert between June 1 and Sept. 1, followed by a review of the event, including noise levels. The board required that the speedway pay for a sound study during the concert.
David McGrath, speedway executive vice president, said Thursday the organization is excited to move forward with the plan for the country music festival.
The plans were discussed and approved months after the state learned it was losing the September top-tier NASCAR race to Las Vegas.
