White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Friday denied claims that President Trump is playing politics with the issue of sexual harassment.

“The Roy Moore story is eight days old and the president put out a statement during his Asia trip on that,” Ms. Conway said. “And since then, our press secretary has spoken on behalf of the president by saying that he believes the people of Alabama will sort out what to do with Roy Moore, and what to do with that election.”

The president tweeted about Sen. Al Franken late Thursday concerning allegations he forcibly kissed and grabbed a woman during a USO tour in 2006.

“The Al Frankenstien picture is really bad, speaks a thousand words. Where do his hands go in pictures 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 while she sleeps? …..” Mr. Trump tweeted.

“And to think that just last week he was lecturing anyone who would listen about sexual harassment and respect for women. Lesley Stahl tape?” he added.

Mr. Moore was also accused of inappropriate sexual behavior towards teenage girls while he was district attorney, one girl was as young as 14 years old. He is currently running as the Republican candidate for the Alabama Senate seat.

“I look at these two and I say in a country of 330 million people is this the best we can do in our representatives?” Ms. Conway said. “I’m very happy that to this president personnel is policy.”
