Actor Sylvester Stallone quickly denied claims Thursday that he and a bodyguard sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in 1986 as he was filming “Over the Top” in Las Vegas.

Drudge Report and the Daily Mail breathed new life Thursday into claims first broken in February 2016, accusing the Hollywood icon nicknamed “Sly” and best known for the “Rocky” and “Rambo” films.

At issue is an unidentified woman’s claim — and a police report — regarding a hotel incident in which the actor and his bodyguard, Mike De Luca, allegedly coerced her into group sex.

“This is a ridiculous, categorically false story. No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone. At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by authorities or anyone else regarding this matter,” a spokesman for Mr. Stallone told Fox News.

The story was first published in by the Baltimore Post-Examiner in February 2016 and then echoed by the Daily Mail on Thursday. The news comes as a slew of Hollywood celebrities — including producer Harvey Weinstein, actor Kevin Spacey, and comedian Louis C.K. — deal with fallout from similar claims.

Mr. Stallone was 40 years old when the alleged incident at the Las Vegas Hilton took place. The teen says she met Stallone on July 23, 1986, after conversations in the hotel arcade with actor David Mendenhall.

Police were told by the teen, who signed a no-prosecution form, that she would not have approached them had the actor not involved Mr. De Luca.

The report says the teen was told by Mr. Stallone, a married man, that they would “beat her head in” if she spoke to anyone about the incident.

Mr. De Luca died in 2013.
