Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore lost no time Thursday jumping on the Al Franken sex-abuse charges to bolster his claim that he is being unjustly treated by the party’s leaders.
In a tweet posted shortly after 1 p.m., he accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, of rushing to judgment against him but not the Minnesota Democrat.
“Al Franken admits guilt after photographic evidence of his abuse surfaces. Mitch: ’Let’s investigate,’” Mr. Moore wrote.
“In Alabama, ZERO evidence, allegations 100% rejected. Mitch: ’Moore must quit immediately or be expelled,’” the former judge continued.
