CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (AP) - The Latest on the shooting at a suburban Buffalo retail store that left one person wounded (all times local):
1:45 p.m.
A suburban Buffalo business owner says he drove his car into a man who had opened fire at a neighboring store, an act of heroism police credit with saving lives.
Mark Pinnavaia (pin-uh-VYE’-uh) says his assistant manager at Daryll’s Car Audio Superstore yelled Tuesday afternoon that someone was shooting outside the Dollar General across the street. Pinnavaia says he saw a man putting his rifle on the ground in between firing at the dollar store.
Pinnavaia says he jumped in his car, drove across a grassy strip and hit the gunman, who flew over the vehicle and landed on the ground. The man got up and ran with Pinnavaia and one of his employees in pursuit.
The man, identified as 29-year-old Travis Green, was caught by police moments later.
A 53-year-old man was wounded in the shoulder by the gunfire.

Police say the man who fired multiple rounds at a store near Buffalo had hundreds of bullets and a second rifle in his vehicle.
Police in the town of (cheek-tuh-WAH’-guh), New York, say 29-year-old Travis Green used a pump-action AR-15-style rifle to shoot out the glass door and windows at a Dollar General store Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the only person hit was a 53-year-old man who was wounded in the shoulder.
Officials say Green ran away as police arrived and was chased by two civilians from a nearby business. Video from a police dashboard camera shows Green running along a road before he’s caught by pursuing officers and knocked over a guardrail.
Police say they found 850 rounds and what appears to be a semi-automatic rifle with ammunition magazines in his car.

The mother of a man charged with firing multiple rounds at a retail store near Buffalo says he recently broke up with his wife.
Viola Green says her 29-year-old son, Travis Green, spent part of the day Tuesday moving his things out of his wife’s house. Police say not long afterward Travis Green took two rifles to a Dollar Store near his Cheektowaga (cheek-tuh-WAH’-guh), New York, home and fired dozens of rounds at the entrance.
Police say the only person hit was a 53-year-old man who was wounded in the shoulder. Officers arrived and tackled Green as he ran away.
His mother was in the court with him when he was arraigned on attempted murder charges. Afterward she said her son’s seven-year marriage had broken up.
The mother also said he had bought two rifles about seven years ago.

Authorities say it’s a “miracle” that more people weren’t shot when a man with two semi-automatic rifles opened fire on a suburban Buffalo retail store, wounding one man before being tackled by police.
Police in Cheektowaga (cheek-tuh-WAH’-guh) say officers responded around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a man with a gun outside a Dollar General store.
Police say the man fired dozens of rounds at the store from outside before being tackled by officers as he attempted to flee on foot. Police say he was wearing camouflage and body armor, and two AR-15 rifles were recovered.
Officials say a 53-year-old Cheektowaga man suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Travis Green. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges that include attempted murder and assault. He’s jailed without bail.
Police say they haven’t determined a motive.
