CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire officials say the state’s unemployment rate for October was 2.7 percent, unchanged from the September rate.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October 2016 was 2.8 percent.

The state estimates that 727,780 people were employed last month, a decrease of 2,190 from the previous month and a decrease of 2,290 from October 2016. The number of unemployed residents increased by 70 over the month to 20,130, which was 790 fewer people than in October 2016.

Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October was 4.1 percent, a decrease of one tenth of a percentage point from the September rate. It was a decrease of 0.7 percentage points from the October 2016 rate.
