WAVERLY, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police have identified the man who was struck and killed by a police car.
State police identified the man Tuesday as 47-year-old Antonio T. Green of Waverly, Virginia.
State police said Green was struck shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday in Waverly, which is an hour south of Richmond. The striking vehicle was a Dodge Charger owned by the Waverly Police Department.
The accident occurred on Route 460 near the intersection with Route 40.
State police say the investigation is ongoing.
