NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Transit rail riders will start the new year with schedule changes because of more rail repairs at New York’s Penn Station.
NJ Transit says the work will mainly impact five Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line trains per day between Jan. 8 through May 28, 2018.
One Coast Line train will be diverted to Hoboken in the morning and evening. A Northeast Corridor train in morning and evening will terminate and originate at Newark Penn Station and another Coast Line train in the evening will be canceled.
Other trains may have adjustments made to the timetable or station stops.
NJ Transit and Amtrak passengers faced delays and schedule charges while Amtrak made repairs at New York’s Penn Station throughout the summer.
