THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Nicholls State is looking for a new coach for its volleyball program.

Director of Athletics Matt Roan announced Tuesday that Tommy Harold was relieved of his duties after five seasons as head volleyball coach. Roan thanked Harold for his service and wished him well moving forward. He says the university is excited to find the program’s next leader.

The 2017 Nicholls volleyball squad finished 4-25 overall, including 2-14 in Southland Conference play. Harold took over the program in 2013 and one year later put the Colonels in their first SLC Tournament. The Colonels’ overall record during his five-year tenure was 36-111 (17-65 SLC).

Harold produced eight 20-win seasons during his nine-year stint as head volleyball coach at Loyola-New Orleans before accepting the same position at Nicholls.
