HOUSTON (AP) - David Caraher had 20 points and eight rebounds and led seven Houston Baptist players in double figures as the Huskies overwhelmed Arlington Baptist 108-67 on Tuesday night.

Houston Baptist (1-1), which opened with an 84-55 loss to Providence, charged out to a 51-32 lead at the break and poured it on in the second half.

Caraher, a freshman who had 19 points and seven rebounds against Providence, was 8 of 13 from the floor against Arlington Baptist, which competes in the NCCAA.

Jalon Gates scored 13 points off the bench as 13 Huskies got on the board. William Gates Jr. had 11 points with Ian DuBose, Braxton Bonds, Edward Hardt and Oliver Lynch-Daniels all making 10 apiece.

HBU hit 43 of 82 (52.4 percent) from the floor while holding the Patriots to 24-of-63 (38 percent) shooting. The Huskies won the rebound battle 51-26.

Markel Semien led Arlington Baptist with 18 points.
